When I think back to having my own babies, I wish that I could have had a book like this, as nobody told me anything about sex after childbirth at least, not in the detail that I would have liked. I didn't just want to know when I was allowed to have sex again, I was looking for a way to integrate my new role as a mum into my sex life and vice versa and I definitely didn't find this in any pregnancy or baby book. Lucky for me, through a bit of trial and error I worked out a way to cope in those dark years of early motherhood by prioritising my own needs, which led me to become a sexy and confident mum. As I see it, sexuality isn't just about the act of making love; it touches everything that we do. It is our greatest gift and lights up us and all those around us. Sex is the creative life force that burns in our bellies, before, during and after we give birth.
